Knauf Danoline portfolio consists of acoustic ceiling and wall materials based on gypsum. Knauf Danoline portfolio is developed and manufactured at our facilities in Hobro, Denmark. Decades of working side-by-side with our customers has given us an extensive know-how and in-depth understanding of the acoustic ceiling market and its requirements. Room for Expression is at the heart of our daily work with R&D and customer service. Knauf Danoline portfolio is continuously developed and modified to be able to meet the changing customer demands for sizes, shapes, colours, textures, functions, features, patterns. We get involved in a building project all the way from the initial concept to the final installation. To our customers, this is a guarantee that we are dedicated to finding a way to overcome a challenge at every stage in the building process.

In addition to customized solutions, the Knauf Danoline portfolio comprises of a wide range of standard acoustic solutions that are used in all building types such as schools, hospitals, offices, hotels, shopping malls, etc. Whether suspended ceiling tiles, free-spanning corridor planks, or linings for walls and ceilings, all our solutions meet the most rigorous requirements for acoustics, fire safety, indoor climate, and environmental responsibility.

From local manufacturer to global acoustic solutions providerOur History

  • 1958

    The first production line for manufacturing of ceiling tiles is established by the BMT Company in Hobro, Denmark. The ceiling tiles are primarily produced for the Danish residential market. Ten years later, the increasing demand leads to the major expansion of the production capacity. The company is re-named Danogips and a large factory for gypsum boards is built.

  • 1971

    In 1971, the growing sales of ceiling tiles lead to the construction of a brand new production line at the premises where Knauf Danoline products are produced to this day.

    1981

    With increased focus on acoustic comfort, the product range is gradually developed into more sophisticated acoustic ceiling products, and in 1981 a product portfolio named Danoline is introduced to the market.

  • 1992

    Danogips, Danoline and all their subsidiaries are acquired by the Knauf Group. This opens new possibilities for market expansion, and shortly after the merger, Danoline products are exported worldwide. The increasing sales to the new markets are followed by large investments in the production lines and innovative, new products to meet the new market demands and trends.

  • 2012

    In 2012, Danoline portfolio is rebranded to Knauf Danoline in order to strengthen the association with the Knauf Group and facilitate the sales & marketing of our portfolio through the worldwide network of Knauf partners. The same year marks the inauguration of a brand new Knauf Academy at Knauf Denmark’s facilities in Hobro, Denmark.
